Life Expands...
.............and then it gets BIGGER.
So goes our life at present. We have two new family members. Kit is a beautiful 7 year old girl and her Bio brother is AJ, a handsome 9 year old boy. We love both these children who will become a permanent part of our family (they already are in our hearts) sometime close to May of 2011. The Utah courts require that we have a 6 month waiting period before a legal adoption can take place.
For those of you who are new to our family web (as in intricately woven...no pun intended =]), we also have 5 other children, 5 grandchildren and one more on the way!!!
Joshua is the oldest at 28, married to Katie with Jake-4 and Miles Ronan-1. They live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Josh works in the field of Psychology, speaks Spanish and is a computer Guru on the side. Katie manages their two little ones (sometimes Josh =]) and speaks Russian! She is talented at accounting and can make you laugh in nano-seconds.
Ashlee is the oldest girl at 24, married to Danny (Army Hero) with Dylan-8, Kayla-6, Harmony-3, and the one on the way....currently referred to as "Olive" (once known as "Blueberry"). They reside in El Paso, Texas near Fort Bliss. Danny has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and will deploy again sometime this year. "Olive" is due Aug, 25th. Ashlee manages the family and Sgt. "Danny" serves our country!
Ethan is 20 and used to be the middle child. Presently not married and working at a degree in the criminal justice system in Wyoming. He is a member of the National Guard (our other Hero) and did very well in boot camp. After boot camp, he was involved in recruitment which he is good at. He is the "funny guy" of the family and is fun to have around.
JJ is the new middle child at sweet 16, working towards the field of animation, keeps pace with the critics and is capable of writing circles around the best. He has a gift of gab that will grip your curiosity.
BJ is our adopted African American, 13 year old and aspires to the NFL and will likely reach his dream as a future running back. He loves to keep in shape, keep up with the latest sports news and compare products on line that he has an interest in.
AJ shares Joshua's name (the "J") and Ashlee's birth date. He loves scouting, football, and soccer. He will have an opportunity to experience Yoga through the 4-H after-school program. He is smart and likes to play games of all kinds.
KT (pronounced "Kit") is our little "Tinker Bell" and loves everything princess. She likes playing beauty shop, dress-ups, friends and dolls, doing girl stuff with "Mama" (me), keeping up with the boys and will be starting Yoga with AJ, after school.
Sage is our absolutely fantastical DOG! She is famous for teaching over 40,000 scouts in animal safety and Leave No Trace. She has been invited to schools to do presentations and school parades.
Hobbes came from the lake "swamps" and is a unique cat of interesting characteristics. For example, he can play road kill very well! He teaches everyone how to be sneaky and look innocent, and loves to be scratched around the neck.
Nikko on the other hand, has learned to get into everything, but missed the "how to be sneaky" part and gets caught all the time. She is skittish and cuddly and warms your heart with big blues. She came from a farm full of cats and still thinks the food will be stolen out from under her nose.
All of our animals have been rescued and adopted from different circumstances. Sage was abandoned and found us. Hobbes found JC's office and Nikko was one of many that made a home in our hearts. We are grateful for each of their spirits and the love and enjoyment they have brought to our family at times when their gifts were needed most.
